Self care should be a priority for everyone - a chance to refresh, recharge and glow up and what better day to do this, than on a relaxing Sunday. ✨🌿
In a world where we’re all so busy and our minds are just full to the brim, it’s important now more than ever to take care of our mind, body and mental well-being.
Women often juggle multiple responsibilities, including careers, relationships and family, therefore self-care is not a luxury but a necessity.
When we take care of ourselves, we can show up stronger, healthier, and more confident in all areas of our life. 💖

🌟 1. Glow Up Morning Routine
To get the best out of a glow up Sunday, it all starts with the morning. Starting the day as you mean to go on is my manta!
So let’s get into it…
Start your day with hydrating lemon water to flush out any toxins, aid digestion and give you glowing skin.
Cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser, add a Vitamin C Serum and don’t forget the SPF50…
Apply a lightweight moisturiser to keep skin dewy and fresh.
Journal or read a chapter or two of your favourite book.
Nourish your body with a nutritious breakfast, rich in antioxidants and vitamins - think yummy avocado on toast with added chia seeds or a delicious smoothie.
Add collagen to your morning coffee or smoothie, for hair, skin, and nail health.
Do some light exercise, such as Yoga or Pilates. Both of these will relieve tension, tone your body and energise!
Get outside in nature and go for a walk. This is great to clear your mind and blow away the cobwebs…

☀️ 2. Glow Up Daytime Routine
It’s also really important to continue your glow up throughout the day, to feel your absolute best!
Drink green or herbal tea for glowy skin. The benefits also include stress and anxiety reduction, as well as reduced blood pressure and cholesterol.
Eat a lunch full of skin-loving foods such as avocados, berries, nuts, and leafy greens. Include lean proteins and healthy fats too!
Stay hydrated with 2L of water daily. You can also add in a slice or two of lemon or cucumber for extra benefits.
Digital Detox: Make sure you’re taking regular breaks from your devices throughout the day.
Listen to a podcast or gentle music that uplifts and relaxes you.
Apply lip balm, hand cream & a face mist for hydration.
🌙 3. Glow Up Evening Routine.
As you approach the evening, it’s time to wind down and get yourself in a state of relaxation, which will help with a good, well rested night’s sleep 😴…
Exfoliate your skin for smoother, brighter skin. Remember to only exfoliate 2-3 times a week.
Double cleanse to remove makeup and impurities.
Use a Gua Sha or Jade Roller for lymphatic drainage & sculpting.
Use a Hyaluronic Acid serum to help with wrinkles and fine lines.
Dry brush before your bath or shower for exfoliation & circulation boost.
If you’re having a bath, add in some Epsom salts and essential oils for total relaxation.

Pop on some cosy PJs so you’re super comfortable for the evening.

Light some aromatherapy candles or an oil diffuser, to create a calming, soothing atmosphere.
Watch an episode of your fave TV program!
Read more of your book, as this helps settle your mind before sleep.
Listen to soothing music or nature sounds for calmness, if you struggle to fall asleep.
Head to bed at a reasonable time (I always aim to be in bed by 10pm latest).
🙌 Some Bonus Glow Up Tips
Spritz a bit of your favourite perfume, to boost your mood in an instant.
Try and get 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Sleep on a silk pillowcase to reduce wrinkles.
Try an LED face mask for so many benefits (treats acne, reduces wrinkles, improves skin and texture).
Wear soft, comfortable clothing to feel good.
So those are my tips for a perfect Glow Up Self-Care Sunday Routine.
Although we must prioritise ourselves and our self-care routines, sometimes as Mums, and busy women, there just isn’t the time to spare.
If you can’t dedicate a whole day for yourself, try and incorporate some of the above in your daily life.
If you can’t do a whole skincare routine, just cleanse and put on a facemask, or take the time to read or listen to a podcast!
Even just a little self-care a day will make you feel amazing and so much better in yourself.
Having routines for your skin, hair and body promote glowing skin and hair, the same as nourishing your body with proper nutrition and hydration enhances beauty from within.
